Choosing a suitable EV charger for your Jaguar I-Pace (including models from July 2020) may sound easy, but there are some details you may not notice when purchasing the vehicle. Such as maximum charging rate, compatibility, and charger type. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you select the right charger. You only need to select the EV model and you will find out what's right for you.
- I-Pace
The Jaguar I-Pace has a charging capacity of 11kW. Like the majority of current and new electric vehicles, the Jaguar I-Pace has a CCS Type 2 charge port on the vehicle and, as such, requires a (16A or 32A) Type 2 to Type 2 charge cable. A Type 2, 1-phase, 32A, or 3-phase, 16A charging cable would fit your needs.
- F-Pace
The Jaguar F-Pace (PHEV) has a reported range of 34 miles and the vehicle has a Type 2 socket. The maximum charging speed when connected to an AC charging point is 7.4kW. We recommend the 1-phase 32A charging cable for charging the Jaguar F-Pace at a public charging point or home wall box.
- E-Pace
The Jaguar E-Pace needs a Mennekes type 2 plug and the car has a maximum AC charging capacity of 7.4 kW. With a usable battery capacity of 12 kWh, we recommend a 1-phase 32A charging cable.
